Jefferson Rock – Original Mixed Media Acrylic
This piece captures the iconic silhouette of Jefferson Rock in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, through a lens of vibrant, rhythmic energy.
I’ve reimagined this historic landmark by blending the natural ruggedness of the rock formations with an expressive, swirling sky that pulls the viewer upward. The foreground is alive with a mosaic of colorful, staccato brushstrokes—pinks, yellows, and blues—that represent the wild, shifting energy of the mountain path.

This painting is my love letter to the heights of West Virginia. Inspired by the iconic overlooks of Harpers Ferry and the surrounding Appalachian trails, I wanted to capture the feeling of standing on the edge of the world. By using a swirling, rhythmic technique for the sun and clouds, I’ve reimagined this natural landmark as a living, breathing landscape. It represents that moment of clarity and peace you find at the top of a climb, translated through the bold colors and surreal textures of a 'Vibrant Nightmare.
